Ntel, Nigeria’s fifth and newest mobile telecoms operator, said despite the foreign exchange challenges, expansion of its services across the country is still on course. Ntel currently covers a significant part of Lagos and Abuja. Expansion of its services is in Port Harcourt is on-going, and will be completed by June this year. The telecoms firm plans to spend $1 billion dollars to expand its infrastructure, over the next four years.
Ntel, commenced operations in April 2016 and has on its board experienced businessmen including Gen. TY Danjuma (rtd) as chairman, Captain Hosa Okunbor, and Tunde Ayeni. Ntel operates a 4g network. Latest statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics, (NBS) showed a drop in mobile subscribers in the country
