1. Google Translate 

Many might not have heard of Google Translate’s updated app that allows for “visual translation,” which means you can point your smartphone camera at any street sign or menu and get an instant English translation on-screen. Voila!

7. Red Panic Button 

Lost in an unfamiliar city? By pushing a red button on screen, you allow this app to ssend your GPS coordinates and a link to Google Maps (by SMS or email) to a previously selected contact list. It even has an option to post the same links to your social media accounts on Facebook or Twitter.
