This epic penalty shootout gets funnier and funnier as goalie takes repeated shots to his bloodied face

In this delightfully funny video from BYUtv, which, yes, is the TV station of Brigham Young University, a soccer goalie repeatedly takes soccer balls to the face in a penalty shootout. In it, Yale and North Carolina have played out a 2-2 draw, and it is up to Yale goalkeeper Scott Sterling to become a hero in the resulting penalty shootout.
He does it by saving all five of the Tar Heels' penalties with his face, although after the first one or two, he doesn't know much about what is going on.

The guys at BYUtv find numerous amusing ways to get Sterling to save the spot-kicks despite his bloodied, agonised face, while the sketch also contains great lines such as "His trainer takes him off the field like a moustached lion dragging a gazelle through the Serengeti."

It’s a silly and simple premise, but like all funny things, it’s the execution that counts. From the faux British announcers to the look on the poor goalie’s face as he tries to escape more punishment, it’s a video that gets funnier the longer you watch it. Well worth the watch:
