It is yet another time to celebrate the life of Jesus Christ, particularly the highlight of his life which is the death and resurrection. It is an important time for any Bible believing Christian because it is celebratory, but more importantly, reminiscence of what does truely matter; the life after death and all the sacrifices and love that made that possible.
While many may argue about the necessity of such a celebration or even the accuracy of the dates choosen, others may outrightly condemn it by ascribing its practise to pagan rituals of yester years. I think for Christians though, what is important is that a weekend or period has been choosen every year to REMEMBER what our saviour has done...and that in itself is good practise. Remember Jesus admonishes us to keep certain rituals, like the communion, simply to remember! Remember his Life, His Sacrifice, His Love, His Opportunity to us all to be saved but not perish so we may have eternal life...As the Bible would say..only a fool would say that there is no God.
Use the holiday to reflect and tell a friend that there is indeed life after death...and a true way to eternal life...JESUS!
