Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State Sunday commissioned a multi-million naira dialysis centre in Benin, the Edo State capital, to provide affordable treatment for citizens, especially those suffering from kidney related ailments in the state.
The health centre, St Vincent De Paul Mercy Medical Centre, has 14 rooms, and is an initiative of the St Vincent De Paul Society of St. Paul Parish in Benin City.
Obaseki, who was accompanied by his wife, Betsy during the ceremony, expressed satisfaction for the completion of the project, noting that it would not only benefit the poor or citizens of the state but of the world at large.
He commended the vision of the society for the success of the project, adding that he was ready to continue to support the centre.
