The Abia State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Great Nobles Integrated Limited, for the management and development of Ndi Oji Abam Rubber Estate in Arochukwu Local Government Area of the State. The move is aimed at revamping the moribund rubber plantation, create jobs and increase the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state.
Speaking at the event the Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Uzo Azubuike who signed on behalf of the state government said that the present administration under the able leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu committed to the task of ensuring the revamping and development of all Government owned Estate for the benefit of all. He charged the investor to develop the underdeveloped areas of the plantation within the speculated time.
The Agricultural Boss directs that the investor should ensure that the welfare of the host community is paramount and assured them of a conducive working environment.
In his response the investor, Hon. Acho Nwakanma of Noble Integrated Limited thank Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the ministry of Agriculture for the great opportunity to develop the Estate and assure of their readiness to revitalise the rubber estate for the benefit of all.
