Is the insane price tag putting people off?
Despite featuring in Furious 7, it appears the $3.4 million price tag is putting potential punters off the Lykan Hypersport. Only seven of these ultra-exclusive hypercars are slated for production, but W Motors is having a hard time shifting even one of these enigmatic cars. This particular model has popped up for sale a couple of times before, and despie having 420 diamonds in the LED lights, a gold-plated hood, and a nine-inch Hologram display with interactive motion, the Dubai-based carmaker just can’t find a buyer. Go figure.
As far as we’re aware, nobody has given the car a thorough test drive and put its claimed performance stats to the sword. Power comes from a RUF-developed 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat six engine rated at 770 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, which is said to translate to a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a 245 mph top speed. Having video evidence of this might help convince a buyer to pay the eye-watering price tag. Designed by coachbuilder Carrozzeria Viotti, it’s not a bad looking thing, and “Arabia’s first supercar” should have arguably sold out by now. So, any takers?
