The Truth!...Why Gov Ibukunle Amosun Went To War By Demolishing Hospital Renovated By Buruji Kashamu

There is the truth according to the men of Governor Ibikunle Amosun. There is that as told by sympathisers of Senator Buruji Kashamu.  And there is also the one narrated by those who claimed to be observers.

Here are the versions munched together. ‘’It’s all politics, money and need to boast and curb influence’’ a source stated. ‘’But in this case, it more about refusal to be used to consolidate political clout and leveraged on to justify certain expenditure’’ another said.


Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun caught a bit of bad weather last week. He was accused of demolishing a renovated primary health centre in Ijebu Igbo. The renovation was reported carried out on the bills of Senator representing the area Kashamu Buruji.

Buruji and Amosun are passionate opposition operating on different political party. The governor is a chieftain of All Progressives Congress while the Senator is that of People’s Democratic Party. Buruji possesses the strongest political force in Ijebu Igbo and it’s environs.  And his main play is to be seen as very compassionate to the needs of the people of the area.

Informants claim this was the reason behind the renovation of the primary health centre.

But the renovation which gave him great boast as ‘’man of the people’’ was superficial according to information. ‘’He only did a facelift, touched on things people can see and hail him for and it was even a partial effort’’ a source claimed.

Important ingredients of operations such as drugs and equipment and related materials were left unattended to.

’’what is the use a renovated health centre without drugs and equipments...is it the building that make’s a health facility’’ a source enquired.
But sympathisers of the Senator claimed he had a plan for the in place, that the renovation was the first step. ‘’He opted for renovation to avoid what eventually happened..the health centre is a state responsibility..he couldn’t just demolish it, meaning would be read into it, so he opted to renovate and from there move on to other steps that would end in a befitting health centre, drugs equipment and all in place’’ a source disclosed.

Sources however claimed what the Senator didn’t say was that he planned to milk every stage of the way for political gains and influence by getting his agents to quietly spread the words.  ‘’And by doing that he defames governor Amosun as non performing and anti the people of the area’’ a source alleged.

Further claims also have it what the Senator also didn’t reveal was that when he is done with his plan, the health facility would be listed as one of his constituency projects and used to justify money allocated for such – as well as become a major campaign point, even before election. It would have been a major coup if the moves sailed through.
