During his farewell address in Chicago Tuesday night, President Barack Obama thanked his wife, Michelle Obama, and his daughters, Malia and Sasha, for sacrificing for his political dreams. However, one of his daughters was noticeably missing at the event.
Only 18-year-old Malia traveled to Chicago for the speech, but Obama says both daughters "wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily."
According to the Associated Press, Sasha Obama did not board Air Force One for the flight to Chicago along with her mother, sister and paternal aunt, Auma Obama.
Many people watching the address took to Twitter to ask where Sasha was, and various hashtags, including #sashaobama, #whereissasha and #whereissashaobama and began trending as people looked for answers.
A White House official later explained that Sasha stayed in Washington because she has a school exam Wednesday morning.
Case closed.
