Migrants in search of greener pastures apprehended in Lagos


The Lagos state police command today apprehended 84 illegal migrants shipped into the state from the Seme border in Badagry. According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, 'they claimed to be on their way to Gabon but they were apprehended while they were being moved into another vehicle in Lagos. They'll be transferred to the immigration for further action'. 
 
One of the suspects who mostly spoke French Language, Mumuni Guene when interviewed, said he's a 28 year old painter and they are all from Burkina Faso and were on their way to Gabon in search of greener pastures.
